CLOVER EFI OSX86 FULL
VRAM = 1024 (place the value of how many MB of ram you have, it's always autodetected wrong, but seems to be only cosmetic)įor a full description of all CLOVER ist entries, see QPI = 3200 (cosmetic only, just place the value of GT/s your motherboard has on the QPI bus) XMPDetection = true (we have XMP RAM modules in the system)īusSpeedkHz = 133000 (you can leave this out if it's autodetected as this value, weird, since the clover wiki says that UEFI detection is inaccurate, but i got the same value under CloverEFI detection as well, so it should be good)

LegacyBoot = LegacyBiosDefault (the InsydeH2O UEFI knows how to CSM boot) InjectSystemID = false (we are not manually specifying a system id) USBFixOwnership = false (this only matters if you are using an old BIOS, we are on UEFI)īoot-args = -v (nspci doesnt seem to change anything here) PatchAPIC = false (if this is true, then the kernel hardlocks/spins forever when reading APIC states)įixDsdtMask = 0x0010 (only HPET DSDT patching enabled) KernelCpu = false (our CPU is detected just fine)ĪsusAICPUPM = true (required if we don't want AppleIntelPowerManagement.kext to KP right at the start) Open up EFI/CLOVER/ist for editing and make sure the nodes are as follows: Sudo mount -t msdos /dev/diskXsY /Volumes/ESP (replacing X and Y with numbers found earlier)Īcquire FakeSMC.kext by slice (for Clover use) from the latest HWSensors package from here: Īcquire AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and ApplePS2Controller.kextĬopy those 3 kext files to your ESP partition under path: EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.8 and EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other (that's 2 copies made) You should have ESP partition mounted on your desktop from the Clover install, if not, open up Terminalĭiskutil list (find which diskXsY is the EFI partition on the usb disk (Y should be 1, X varies per system) ) Open up disk utility, go to the USB stick, select the big partition, format it as HFS+ Journaledĭrag InstallESD.dmg to the left side of disk utility and click it, then go to the Restore tabĭrag your big HFS+ USB partition into destination and click Restore Mount your Mountain lion 10.8.4 dmg (or if you have the app, thats fine too)įind InstallESD.dmg inside the app (show package contents and such) Install clover, you should get a successfull screen at the end
CLOVER EFI OSX86 DRIVERS
Select all the uefi-64 drivers except for AptioFix Select the UEFI installation mode (copy to ESP etc), select some themes (metal is the default so include that one if you dont want missing graphics) Run it's installer, choose the USB stick as destination, go to Advanced Make another partition filling up the rest of the space (can be Fat32 as well, we will format it properly later)īoot up your Mac Os, plug in the USB stick into it Run gparted on it, initialize a new GPT partition table, make a 200MB Fat32 partition, set it's flags to boot If your system is using dual boot, you can also overwriting those files in Windows OS.Flash the following InsydeH2O bios to get UEFI boot support (and some other things): Once inside the system, I use the same steps to copy over BOOTX64.efi, BOOTX64.efi to my EFI folder located inside internal SSD disk. Then my Hackintosh works again with latest 10.15.4 as I am using this to write this post. Then unmount and plug into the Hackintosh PC and set boot from EFI bootloader inside USB. Just copy and paste into existing EFI folder of my USB boot. However, we don't care of other things, just look at EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi and EFI/CLOVER/BOOTX64.efi. When unzip CloverV2-5107.zip, there is a folder named EFI with structure looks similar EFI folder which consists of both EFI and BIOS.
CLOVER EFI OSX86 UPGRADE
How to upgrade existing Clover EFI bootloaderĭownload latest Clover package, at time of writing it is v5.0 r5107. With suggestion from roddy20, I am able to upgrade my EFI folder without using installation.
CLOVER EFI OSX86 INSTALL
However, I got issue to run Clover_r5107.pkg with Can't install without ensuring the file system is read-write if I don't disable SIP of my MBP which I don't like this method. Luckily, I still have the macOS Installation USB, so I intend to upgrade EFI Clover bootloader using my MBP. Look around in reddit, there are a lot of changes in 10.15.4 that prevent old Clover bootloader to work. Recently, doing upgrade my Hackintosh into macOS Catalina 10.15.4, however I can't boot up into the system, only black screen even I can hover my mouse. How-To Upgrade Existing Clover EFI Bootloader
